Surface Drifters

These surface drifters were initialized uniformly in space. Shown in these animations are 2 weeks of forward movement of drifters from one simulation each, categorized by winter and summer. There is distinct behavior in the two seasons. The drifters are color-coded by what depth they started at, since how drifters move to other depths is of interest. Additionally, the 33 surface isohaline is shown to indicate the approximate edge of the river plume.
